Nathan Volke
Counsel
Nathan Volke has exclusively practiced family law for nearly 15 years. He knows that people going through a divorce or family law dispute are looking for both legal guidance and support. Mr. Volke employs a proactive and attentive approach to his representation. Clients know him for his determination, passion, and effectiveness in and out of court.
As a lifelong resident of Anne Arundel County, Nathan Volke has litigated and negotiated hundreds of family law matters throughout Maryland in both the District and Circuit courts. In addition to trial work, Mr. Volke has represented family law clients in appellate matters at both the Appellate Court of Maryland and the Supreme Court of Maryland.
Mr. Volke has practiced other areas of the law, such as real estate, immigration, bankruptcy, criminal defense, and contract law. He applies this knowledge to family law cases, knowing how to navigate the many issues that can come up in a family law case. While Mr. Volke often seeks a settlement that saves everyone time, energy, and money, when settlement is not possible, however, or does not provide the optimal result his client deserves, he has the experience and tenacity needed to advocate for his client’s best interests in court.
Prior to joining Silverman Thompson in 2025, Nathan Volke was a partner at a boutique family law firm in Annapolis. In addition to his legal work, he serves on the Anne Arundel County Council, representing District 3. He is active in Hope Springs Church in Pasadena.
